Welcome to Montavilla UMC! We are a community of people working hard to change our community for the better as we grow to be a more welcoming, socially just community of God-seekers. We seek to provide opportunities for you to experience God in new and meaningful ways, to encounter a community that cares about you, and to know that you are loved and valued, deeply and eternally. We believe deep connection and spiritual enlightenment are important parts of the human experience, and hope that you will find avenues towards connection and enlightenment here. Rev. Heather Riggs collects definitions of forgiveness, loves canoeing, and is always up for some “good trouble.”
She received her Masters of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology and is an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church.
