Mission Partners

As followers of Jesus’ ministry of compassion, justice, and love, the members of Montavilla United Methodist Church believe they are called to join with others who are committed to advancing this ministry. Montavilla UMC rents space on its premises to small businesses and non-profit organizations who will actively partner with it in one or more of the following areas: the practice of healing; awakening the creative spirit in others through the arts and sciences; education which promotes self-awareness, responsibility, and wholeness; healthy stewardship of the earth; serving the poor, the homeless, and the oppressed; confronting discrimination and injustice. Mission Partners need not be members of the Methodist faith community, but are asked to respect this congregation’s beliefs and practices and commit to welcoming all.  (For example, as a member congregation of Oregon-Idaho Reconciling United Methodists, we welcome lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals.)
